Welcome to my little corner of the internet. My name is Rob Mallicoat, and I am a geek, techie and IT consultant as well as a former MLB pitcher who worked for BMC Software, Dell and Microsoft over a 27+ year career and now based in Yakima, WA.

I created this website and LLC to start consulting to help small to medium sized businesses around anything IT focused.

I am taking questions and now scheduling, weekly, monthly and quarterly onsite visits and also have started taking new clients to provide onsite or remote/work-from-home services over Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

Reach out to me with any IT questions from the Contact Me button below!

Background

IT has been my career since baseball for the last 30 years. I started working for a small radiology company and taught myself networking and PC repair then was certified on Windows NT 4.0. I then moved into pre-sales technical support and pre-sales for the last 25 years, working with companies like BMC Software, Quest Software, Dell and Microsoft, sharpening my skills and meeting great co-workers and customers along the way.

Experience

Having worked for some of the largest software vendors in the world I have been able to gather experience from the development practices from companies all over the world.

Leadership

During my software career I worked on some amazing projects along with excellent coworkers but never actually managed a team.

I chose to take on interesting, incubation projects over settling into a manager role since I began my trek at 28 after 10 years playing professional baseball for the Houston Astros

Software & Hardware

Azure AD, VMWare ESX, BMC Patrol, Quest Foglight and Dell vWorkspace, IoT, WebSphere and a myriad of software solutions that support each of these great companies and the products listed above
